Welcome to the TPT Fours Throwdown! We're bringing a fully loaded functional fitness event to CrossFit Derby this October and hope you'll come along for the ride!
Teams can choose between two categories, EVERYDAY which is for athletes that cannot complete the majority of ''RX'' movements or that are very new to competing and RX which is for more competitive athletes that have competed before and/ or are competent at the majority of high level movements (find out more below).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Female and male teams will battle it out in the same category, so both the EVERYDAY and RX categories will have both male and female teams in and the top 3 teams in each category will stand on the podium regardless of sex! The events will be cleverly programmed so that they aren't biased towards a certain sex (a 1 rep max for example would be unfair, due to genetics). So ladies, can you beat the boys and lads can you beat the girls? You'll have to come along and battle it out on the day to find out!
- Full range of motion on bodyweight movements (knees to floor on lunges, hip crease below parallel on squats, chest to floor on push ups etc)
- Barbell movements at 42.5kg (Male) 30kg (female)
- Wallballs 9/6kg
- Kettlebell movements 16/12kg
- Dumbbell movements 15kg/10kg
- Hanging knee raises
- Partner assisted pull ups
- Single skips
NOTE: The workouts are not limited to the above, these are guidelines only to give you an idea of movements that are likely to come up.
- Full range of motion on bodyweight movements (knees to floor on lunges, hip crease below parallel on squats etc)
- Barbell movements at 60kg (Male) 40kg (female)
- Wallballs 9/6kg
- Kettlebell movements 24/16kg
- Dumbbell movements 22.5kg/15kg
- A proficiency in MOST RX movements like: Pistols/ Toes to bar/ Pull ups/ HSPU/ DUBS etc.
- Only one athlete will need to be able to do muscle ups and handstand walks, but there is no guarantee that they will come up. Even if none of your athletes have them, if you can hit the other standards above then RX is the category for you!

We operate a no refund policy, though you can change team members before the start of the event if needed and tickets are transferrable.
