Come and join Sports Day Throwdown for an amazing day of fun and fitness at CTC CrossFit – Cortex for our Spring Mixed Sex Pairs event!

Spectators get in for free, and we will have food, coffee, baked treats and more to make sure the day is just as fun for spectators as it will be for competitors!

Movement Standards:

SCALED:

  • Hanging Knee Raises
  • Kipping Beats
  • Dumbbell Movements 15/10kg
  • Kettlebell Movements 16/12kg
  • Single skips
  • Barbell movements (cycling) 40/25kg

 

RX:

  • TTB
  • Pull ups 
  • Pistol Squats
  • HSPU/BMU (One Athlete)
  • Dumbbell Movements 22.5/15kg
  • Kettlebell Movements 24/16kg
  • Double Unders
  • Barbell movements (cycling) 60/40kg

Please note, these standards are to give you some guidance on what may come up on the day, however, workouts will not be limited to the above.

Please ensure you arrive on time as we will be sticking to timings. 

Parking

There is plenty of parking on the roads surrounding us. We are located on Tyne Road, Sandy. Please ensure not to block any entrances for surrounding businesses. There is more parking on Sunderland Road if needed, just round the corner from us. 

General Information

The spectator/rest area will be mainly outside. Whilst there will be some cover provided, expect to be prepared for potential weather, it is England after all! Unfortunately dogs will not be permitted on the premises other than service dogs. Please remember to bring all equipment you would typically need in a box, all your usual training gear plus your skipping rope as it may be needed. Chalk will not be provided so please also bring this, and where possible avoid liquid chalk. 

Food/Drink/Snacks

There will be snacks, hot and cold drinks available to purchase throughout the day including Protein Bars, Porridge, NOCCO and Barebells Shakes. We have awesome coffee available for you, so please bring a reusable cup if you have one. 

We will also have The Little Pizza Oven on site to provide delicious Pizzas at lunch and in the afternoon.

We still have lots of teams that haven't yet added their Team Mate on Throwdown Hub. This MUST be done in order to compete on the day, so please get it done sooner rather than later!

Spaces are now completely SOLD OUT for our Mixed Pairs Compeition on 23rd April, and we cannot wait to see you all on the dancefloor!
